Why is Breakfast important?
Firstly, who doesn’t like to eat? anyone? that’s what I thought haha. But, Jokes aside, skipping breakfast has been found to put one at risk of developing type 2 diabetes due to insulin resistance and hormone regulation. In addition, it can mess with your blood sugar levels. You know that “Hangry” feeling? that happens when your blood sugar drops too low and may result in an over feeding, mood swings, and low energy.
along with overfeeding, skipping breakfast can put you at a greater risk of binge eating later on in the day. Late night overeating and snacking is a usual cause of not feeling yourself properly thought the day i.e: breakfast.
lastly, brain fog often occurs when one skips breakfast. I know for myself, when I was intermittent fasting I was so scatter brained it was insane. Your brain and all other organs in your beautiful body need fuel to run, so feed them with one or all of these amazing make ahead recipes linked below:)
